Howdy Hokies! As the end of the semester is nearing, we wanted to share a few ways for you to get involved and see more of Blacksburg. Whether you’re a graduating senior or an eager freshman, Blacksburg has some amazing sights and activities to do that we don’t want you to miss out on.
Blacksburg Farmers Market Whether you want a quick coffee or a delicious egg sandwich, the Blacksburg Farmers Market is your one-stop-shop for all things local. There's enough time for everyone to get their taste buds in check and enjoy downtown Blacksburg Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Hiking Feeling a bit outdoorsy? Want to get off campus? There’s lots of hikes and walking trails around Blacksburg for you to explore! The first is Dragon’s Tooth in Jefferson National Forest where you’ll travel 4.2 miles. Looking for something more local? Take a walk or run down to the Huckleberry Trail!
Spirits Had a long week and need a nice relaxing view? Check out Eastern Divide. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating and a stunning view, perfect for a mountain based sunset. Downtown Blacksburg Downtown Blacksburg isn’t your typical downtown scene, and has a lot more to offer than just great food! Whether you’re looking to play some bingo at Sharkey’s or grab a quick bite at PK’s, there’s something for everyone. We can’t forget to mention the Lyric theater where you can see the latest shows and music going on in Blacksburg. You can also try Benny’s famous pizza, it’s the size of your face, and do some ax throwing right next door!
